CIO Community is bringing back the iCIO Awards, a prestigious annual event that has come to symbolize recognition and appreciation for Indonesia’s information technology leaders. This year is especially significant as the iCIO Awards enters its 10th edition and will be held alongside another annual event, the Executive Leadership Forum (ELF) 2025.
Over the past decade, the awards have not only celebrated final outcomes, but have also recognized strategic risk-taking, continuous innovation and leadership in facing industry challenges. The iCIO Awards are not just a celebration of individual achievements but also a reflection of the community’s long journey in shaping a stronger, more collaborative and adaptive national digital ecosystem.
The nomination phase for the iCIO Awards 2025 has begun. All community members and players in Indonesia’s technology ecosystem are encouraged to nominate candidates who demonstrate visionary leadership, innovative thinking and significant impact on their organizations and the broader industry. To ensure an objective and transparent selection process, the iCIO Community has partnered with Bisnis Indonesia as a strategic partner and independent surveyor to support the judging process.
As in previous years, the iCIO Awards will once again be held alongside the iCIO Executive Leadership Forum (ELF). This annual forum will feature expert speakers, panel discussions and inspiring sessions that delve into various strategic and relevant topics amidst the evolving dynamics of the technology industry. The ELF is more than just a forum, it also serves as a vital platform to build strategic networks, foster cross-sector collaboration and strengthen the iCIO Community’s contributions to shaping a more adaptive and sustainable national digital ecosystem.
The iCIO Awards and ELF are part of the broader vision of the iCIO Community, an independent community of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and IT leaders in Indonesia. Founded with a spirit of collaboration, this community has a mission to serve as a catalyst for digital transformation at both the organizational and national levels.
As a strategic platform, the iCIO Community is not only a space for sharing experiences but also a forum for co-creating solutions to the ever-evolving challenges of technology and business.
Throughout its journey, the iCIO Community has launched various programs that not only support its members, but also have a tangible impact on the development of digital talent in Indonesia. One of its latest initiatives, which has been held several times, is the iCIO Mentorship (Navigate), a cross-generational mentorship program designed to cultivate future IT leaders. In this program, next generation IT leaders from various sectors are directly guided by experienced senior CIOs through a personalized mentoring approach. Navigate addresses the industry’s need for the regeneration of digital leaders who are not only tech-savvy but also capable of strategic thinking, driving change and bridging innovation with business needs.
In addition to Navigate, the iCIO Community is also active in organizing Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), curated discussion forums that explore crucial issues in the IT landscape, ranging from cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to technology regulations. The community also regularly publishes an annual research report through iCIO Insight, which explores trends, challenges and strategic priorities of IT leaders in Indonesia.
Furthermore, the iCIO Community actively promotes inclusivity in technology leadership through its Women Leadership Forum program, which aims to elevate the role of women in IT and ensure diversity in strategic decision-making. Informal gatherings such as halal bi halal and annual meet-ups are also consistently held to maintain strong networks and foster a spirit of collaboration among members.
In its journey, the iCIO Community continues to demonstrate that building a digital ecosystem cannot be done alone. It requires strong networks, visionary leadership and a sincere spirit of collaboration. As the iCIO Awards enters its tenth year alongside a series of other strategic activities, the community reaffirms its commitment to driving inclusive, resilient and sustainable digital transformation in Indonesia.
“iCIO Community was born from the desire to unite technology leaders, particularly CIOs from various industry sectors, into a mutually supportive ecosystem that grows together. From the very beginning, our goal has not only been to share knowledge but also to foster collaborations that lead to real change in Indonesia’s digital transformation through programs such as the iCIO Awards, the Executive Leadership Forum, Navigate, iCIO Contribute and Focus Group Discussions,” said Harry Surjanto, Founder of iCIO Community.
The iCIO Community is a community of CIOs and executives of companies and organizations in the ICT sector in Indonesia designed as a platform for sharing practices and leadership in the ICT field. More information about the iCIO Community can be accessed through the website at www.ciocommunity.org.
