inar Mas Land, via its digital hub, welcomes DCT Agency into its ecosystem with the launch of its new head office in Digital Loft, SCBD. The building, known as the House of TikTokers, was built solely for the agency, a startup engaged in talent management and digital advertising, with more than 500 affiliated talents, 300 million followers and 77 billion views by 2022.
The new office was inaugurated by Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno, on Friday (27/01). Also present at the event were regional secretary of Tangerang regency, Banten, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid, CEO of DCT Agency David Nugroho, Group CEO of Sinar Mas Land Michael Widjaja and CEO Digital Tech Ecosystem & Development Sinar Mas Land Irawan Harahap.
This ceremony also coincided with the grand opening of the Marketing Gallery Digital Loft, one of the first office buildings built in the Digital Hub area. The presence of the House of TikTokers at the Digital Hub can become the epicenter of "video creators", especially for influencers who are active on the video platform.
"The high number of social media users in Indonesia has enabled this industry to make a significant contribution to the digital technology sector. We are also proud that the Digital Hub can welcome one of the national market leaders for social media management, namely the DCT Agency, which will have an office and enter our ecosystem,” said Irawan.
He further added his expectation that the head office would facilitate Sinar Mas Land’s steps to synergize with other digital-technology companies in this environment, as the company is also investing in these potential companies so that they can further develop and contribute to driving the wheels of Indonesia's creative economy. As is seen today, the content-creator profession in Indonesia is rapidly growing, especially on social media platforms.
“I see that the creative industry is growing very fast and is always transforming. With this positive momentum, I started adopting several content creators from various categories including dance, music, food and beverage to fashion. I believe that we can change many souls, especially in the field of content creating, because they have an extraordinary impact, not only for themselves but also for MSMEs and the brands that have been formed before. Currently, we already have four official services/collaborations with TikTok. In 2022, the TikTok Shop managed to record revenue of around Rp 228 billion [US$15.23 million] for sales on TikTok,” stated David on the content-creation landscape in Indonesia.
While anyone can make an account and start posting videos online, being recruited by DCT Agency does have some requirements. To become a talent in the House of TikTokers, a creator must be talented, able to show superior and good performance and have qualified digital skills. In turn, joining the agency will bring opportunities for content creators to collaborate with brands and other creative industry players and provide promising additional income. Not only that, the House of TikTokers by DCT Agency will also provide people-development programs to develop the skills of content creators, such as workshops and skill training in the digital field.
Digital Loft itself is an office dynamically designed to be a work space for millennials, equipped with a variety of smart building/Internet of Things (IoT) facilities such as high flexibility and productivity data port, 24 hour-CCTV, door-security facial recognition, door-sensor alarm, video intercom and office monitor, light-motion sensor, automatic roller-shutter door and electronic-delivery box that can be connected to cellphones.
