Padma Culinary Journey: Chef Sandro M. brings ‘Japanese Nikkei’ cuisine to Semarang

adma Hotel Semarang has announced an upcoming chef collaboration dinner with chef Sandro Medrano, the man behind TENKAI Japanese Nikkei Restaurant at Padma Resort Legian.

On March 8, Semawis All-Day Dining Restaurant will play host to guest chef Medrano to provide foodies a taste of Japanese Nikkei cuisine, a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese flavors, starting from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Born and raised in Peru, Medrano will share his passion for Japanese Nikkei dishes with recognizable dishes made from locally sourced ingredients that will spoil the taste buds. Through the bold flavors of signature dishes such as Gindara Misoyu and Robata Niku, Medrano hopes to share his unique Peruvian culture.

As one of the most popular dining outlets in Padma Resort Legian, renowned for its traditional Japanese cuisine and Teppanyaki for years, Tenkai Japanese Nikkei Restaurant has elevated the region’s dining experience. Padma Hotel Semarang is looking forward to bringing the flavors of Tenkai to Semawis, a stylish all-day dining restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Guests and connoisseurs alike are invited to an exquisite dining experience through Padma Culinary Journey with chef Medrano, offering an uncompromising 4-course degustation set menu inspired by the delicacy of Japanese culinary style with punchy Peruvian flavor, bringing a new dining experience on one plate, from sweet, sour, salty and spicy to umami. In addition, the premium beverages selection by Padma Hotel Semarang’s talented sommeliers will be sure to elevate the palate.

The experience is limited to 50 pax only, with prices starting from Rp 450,000 (US$29.62) ++ per person for food only. Advance booking is required.
