loss is a type of dried food made from shredded, seasoned and fried meat. It is typically brown and has a fibrous, cotton-like texture. While beef and chicken floss are commonly found, fish floss is also gaining popularity among consumers.

Ida Ridawati, an ultra-micro entrepreneur from Tarogong Kidul, Garut, West Java, is enjoying growing enthusiasm for her tuna floss business. She noticed that this type of floss was still rare in the market, and its unique taste appealed to people of all ages.

Having started her business in 2018, Ida has now secured intellectual property rights and halal certification for her product.

"My brand is called Twinnietwoes because I have twin children, so I was inspired to use a name that signifies twins. Alhamdulillah, it got approved," she shared.

Initially, she struggled to market her product. However, after improving its packaging and obtaining business permits, people began to trust Twinnietwoes tuna floss as a healthy and halal product.

"One of the reasons our tuna floss has gained widespread recognition is the way we introduced our healthy eating ritual. We highlight five healthy eating rituals: first, washing hands; second, saying a prayer before eating; third, using the right hand to eat; fourth, sharing meals with loved ones; and finally, repeating the order. Surprisingly, this method has been quite effective in promoting our tuna floss," Ida explained.

She expressed her gratitude to PNM for assisting in improving the packaging and marketing of her tuna floss.

PNM president director Arief Mulyadi commended PNM Mekaar customers like Ida for their active and creative efforts. According to Arief, home-based businesses have significant potential to reach both national and international markets if they are willing to put in the effort.

"The entrepreneurial mindset of these home-based businesswomen must continue to be nurtured so they can develop confidence and optimism, knowing that their businesses can compete, even in export markets. This is why building business networks is crucial, it fosters synergy, inspiration and creativity that can attract public attention," Arief explained.

He added that PNM’s commitment to helping small businesses grow is reflected not only in financial support but also in intellectual and social capital, providing added value to their enterprises.
