T

he fourth season of political drama series House of Cards will be available for Indonesian viewers in high definition through RTL CBS Asia Entertainment channel on pay-television carrier K-Vision.

Although originally a Netflix's series, it has not been made available for Indonesian subscribers to the on-demand internet streaming service.

“RTL CBS Entertainment HD is the only official channel where fans will be able to enjoy the latest season of House of Cards in Asia,” said RTL CBS Asia Entertainment Network CEO Jonas Engwall, adding that the entire 13 episodes of Season Four would be aired with Indonesian subtitles.

Developed and produced by Beau Willimon, House of Cards tells the story of ruthless Democratic Party politician Francis “Frank” Underwood (Kevin Spacey) securing his seat as US president. In the newly released season, the story picks up on Frank's campaign to win ground in key primary states and the power struggle with his wife, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright).

Netflix has announced that it would produce a fifth season of the series, scheduled to be release in 2017, but that Willimon would not continue his role as showrunner.

House of Cards has won several awards, including Golden Globes for Spacey as Best Drama Actor and Wright as Best Drama Actress, and Emmy Awards for Best Television Drama Directing, Best Drama Casting and Best Cinematography for series using the single camera technique.

The weekly screening of House of Cards starts on Tuesday at 8:55 p.m. for subscribers of K-Vision. (kes)
