Aston Martin partners with a yacht company to release a powerboat equipped with sports car features.
f you imagine Aston Martin partnering up with a yacht company, you can expect to have a powerboat equipped with sports car features. That is certainly the case for the AM37, Aston Martin's new powerboat.
It has a sliding deck that allows owners to completely cover the boat's cockpit; three carbon panels that can be operated by the electronic command by the powerboat's key; remote-operated air conditioning, a fridge and espresso machine; and an integrated navigation, control monitor and entertainment system are among the innovative features available on the AM37.
“The most important attribute for Aston Martin is the language of the design and we have transferred this language to the AM37. The new powerboat represents the ideal combination of luxurious and technical materials, generating a powerful yet understated finished product,” said Aston Martin chief creative officer Marek Reichman in a press release on Tuesday.
The powerboat is currently being showcased at Milan's Salone del Mobile until April 18 to celebrate its upcoming launch.
The price has yet to be disclosed but Bugatti also designed a yacht last year called the Ninette where, according to The Verge, it costs US$2.2 million. (ken/kes)
