Singer-songwriter Tulus launched his third album Monochrome on Wednesday, which mainly consists of self-compositions.

“The spirit of this album is a thank you,” said Tulus as quoted by Antara news agency.

The album contains ten songs that were written gradually over the past year. The 29-year-old singer said the creative process of making the album was much longer than the work in the studio, which lasted only a few weeks.

Five of the songs on the album were recorded in Prague, Czech Republic, in just half a day, accompanied by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Tulus explained that prior to his visit he had sent the scores and lyrics of the songs, but once in Prague, he had to explain the meaning of the songs because none of the musicians there understood Bahasa Indonesia.
