California-based startup Planexta has introduced a smart wristband designed to track the wearer’s heart rate and emotions.
Adopting medical electrocardiography (ECG) technique and slated for release next year, Sence is said to be capable of reading heart rate every 4 milliseconds. It will transform the raw heart rate into data to monitor the wearer’s emotional condition, such as stress, anxiety level, happiness and vitality, and then refer to a database consisting of tens of thousands people’s medical records to detect 64 types of emotion.
As reported by dailysocial.id, the product aims to help users become more aware of their life rhythm so they can change daily routines and create a better mood.

Aside from knowing their own emotions, users will also be able to track the emotional level of people around them using the device’s mobile app. To enable this feature, they will need to have those people registered in their network.
Sence is the first product of Planexta, which is led by CEO Eugeny Nayshtetik. Its shape is similar to a fitness tracking device, with a monitor-less main module bound by a rugged rubber strap. The device’s battery is said to last up to 48 hours after charging through a USB port. The expected price for the product is US$299. (mas/kes)
