P

ay TV channel AXN on Monday kicked off an online audition for the second season of talent-search show Asia’s Got Talent's.

Those interested in joining can visit the event’s website to send in their application and audition video. The video has to be less than two minutes in length and include a short introduction about the applicant and the act. Applications for the audition will be accepted until May 31.

Virginia Lim, ‎senior vice president and head of content, production and marketing of Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia, said the show was encouraging people of any age to try to be in the spotlight.

Asia’s Got Talent has established its place as the region’s most powerful platform to launch aspiring stars,” she said, as quoted by inquirer.net.

She also added, “For Season Two, AXN is looking for a variety of acts that span everything from thrilling, surprising and breathtaking to funny and quirky…and sometimes bizarre.”

Aside from the online audition, AXN will be holding open auditions in major cities in the region. Details will be announced through AXN’s TV channel, social media and website in the coming weeks.

In 2015, Filipino shadow play performers El Gamma Penumbra won the show’s first season and took home the prize of US$100,000. (asw)
