The Communications and Information Ministry launched an integrated homecoming application on Thursday.
Dubbed Ayo Mudik, the app was developed in collaboration with tech start-up company Kudo.
Available at Google PlayStore, Ayo Mudik aims to accommodate travelers during mudik (the annual exodus homecoming) period by providing them with important information, such as routes, support facilities and congested areas.

On the map-based application, travelers can also check the details of the nearest police stations, healthcare facilities, gas stations, mosques, ATMs and the latest traffic updates.
Communications and Information Minister Rudiantara said in a press release that Ayo Mudik’s content was supported by various parties, including the Transportation Ministry, Health Ministry, state-owned energy company Pertamina, state-owned toll road operator Jasa Marga, police, telecommunications companies, internet service providers and more.
Rudiantara also mentioned that Ayo Mudik was developed by Kudo’s team of developers in less than a month.
Meanwhile, Kudo CEO and co-founder Albert Lucius expressed his hope that the application would help travelers have an easy mudik journey. (asw)
