New tour unlocks Kota Tua’s culinary gems

Beyond its iconic Fatahillah Square and historic buildings, Kota Tua in Jakarta offers lots of delectable delicacies. From gelato with rujak aceh (fruit salad) to air tajin, a healthy drink with a humble origin. Jakarta is a food lover’s playground. With different neighborhoods offering a diverse array of delicacies and delights, people can gorge on foods hard to find anywhere else. But, that’s only if they know where to look. For 17 years, it’s been Ira Lathief’s job to help people do just that.
