A day after former Indonesian ambassador to the United States Dino Patti Djalal tweeted that Rich Brian “is not a role model for Indonesian youth”, the Jakarta-born rapper announced on Twitter the launch of his second single.
Titled “Kids”, the single will be included on Rich Brian's new album The Sailor, which is set to be released on July 26.

“Kids” explores Rich Brian’s journey in the music industry, including when he made his debut appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2018 and his meeting with Sean Miyashiro, CEO of 88Rising label.
“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever made. No hooks just words over beautiful music,” Rich Brian said in the post on his Twitter account, adding that the music video would be released soon.

Rich Brian will also go on tour for The Sailor with his first stop in Perth, Australia, on Aug. 29 and his last in Auckland, New Zealand, on Sept. 6. (wir/kes)
