"The 1975" features the singles "Sex," "Girls," "Settle Down," "Robbers" and "Heart Out," some of which are also included in the four EPs that the band released ahead of their debut album.

In a sit-down with Elliot Mitchell for "When the Gramophone Rings," Healy discussed the recording process of the full-length that was "five years in the making, formed through the many different incarnations of the band."

"This album isn't a haberdashery of past singles and old stuff, it has been focused down into a collective piece of work. There's tracks on there that people would have heard live, and older tracks that we've reworked. This album is a soundtrack to our formative years, so it would be dishonest to not put songs on there that we wrote when we were 21, as we want people to connect to it in the same way that we do," the frontman said at the time of the album release.

Aside from hosting a listening party, The 1975 are gearing towards the release of their fourth studio album, "Notes on a Conditional Form."

The much-anticipated follow-up to 2018's "A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships" was delayed repeatedly over the years, and is now due on May 22.

"Notes on a Conditional Form" will feature 22 songs, including the previously-issued "The 1975," "People," "Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America" and "If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know)."

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac, Healy revealed that he is currently self-isolating in the studio where The 1975 made their last two albums.

"As soon as [lockdown] started to happen, I knew that it was a safe, boxed-off area that I could go to. I've been here ever since," he explained, also confirming that he has been working on new music amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It's been natural, but it's been productive. It's a weird time, and I didn't think this was gonna happen. With such a massive seismic shift, I'm very into narrative and drama, and [I was originally thinking] ‘Is this the last thing for the band? Is this the end of an era?'" Healy added, without announcing any release date for his new project.
