Indonesian moviegoers are facing a bleak year of second-rate foreign releases and lowbrow local productions as Hollywood studios, the government and movie importers remain locked in a protracted standoff.

Your comments:
Ah, those good old days when we could go to our local theater, buy a ticket for the quality movie we wanted to see (thanks to reviews provided by, among others, the Post!), and enjoy the heavenly smell and taste of freshly roasted popcorn!
Luckily for us who have absolutely no desire to watch mostly inferior local films, we still have our collection of favorite Golden Oldies — and other ways to see new foreign blockbusters!
