AKARTA: Consultants from various job sectors launched on Thursday the Indonesia Consultants Society (ICS), aiming to build a network of consultants and professionals from both private and governmental sectors, to contribute to the nation’s development.
“There are many stories about failed construction in Indonesia. We hope consultants at the society might show support for ideas of restoration in the country, regarding their professions,” ICS chairman Ontoseno Soekotjo said at Wisma Antara in Central Jakarta.
He said that the ICS was ready to build partnerships with the government, universities and societies. “I hope we can communicate with universities to get to know better what societies and industries need from us,” he said.
ICS’ launch was also marked by a declaration read and signed by society founder Prof. Wiratman Wangsadinata.
