hai authorities say three stone grinding mill workers were killed and four were injured after gigantic rocks fell upon them during a landslide in a western province in Thailand.
Petchburi provincial governor Monthian Thongnit said Monday that authorities have declared the area a disaster zone and ordered a temporary closure of all grinding mills in the mountains in Petchburi province's Khao Yoi district.
He says heavy rains on Sunday had softened the land around the granite mountains and caused the landslide on Monday.
Four Thai and Myanmar workers also suffered injuries and were taken to hospitals.
The governor said authorities would retrieve the bodies of the workers, two from Myanmar and one from Thailand, as soon as it is safe to enter the area.
