hmad Imam Al Hafitd and Assyifa Ramadhani, two suspects in the murder of 19-year-old Ade Sara Angelina Suroto, will stand trial at the Central Jakarta District Court soon after their dossiers are submitted on Tuesday to the Central Jakarta Prosecutors Office.

Before being handed over to prosecutors, the two suspects underwent a medical exam at the City Police headquarters.

City Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto told reporters that the case would go to court soon after the dossiers were processed and that the medical exam was to ensure the suspects were fit to stand trial.

Hafitd, Assyifa and Sara graduated from the same public high school in East Jakarta last year.

According to police, Hafitd and his girlfriend Assyifa murdered Sara out of anger and jealousy. Hafitd, Sara'€™s ex-boyfriend, was angry that Sara had broken off all contact with him and asked Assyifa to help him teach her a lesson. Assyifa agreed, wanting to estrange Sara and Hafitd as much as possible.

The two teenagers reportedly tortured Sara for hours in Hafitd'€™s car on March 3 '€” gagging, electrocuting and beating her to death. They dumped her body on the Bintara toll road in Bekasi, where it was found two days later.
