he Tahir Foundation has granted five double-decker buses to the Jakarta administration after the buses it donated one and a half years ago were not allowed to run due to their failure to meet the requirements stipulated in government regulations.
Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama welcomed the donation, and hoped that the donation would in line with regulations this time.
“We appreciate the donation as the foundation previously gave five buses and the buses could not run because of problems related to regulations. Now the foundation has come again with the revamped buses,” Basuki said as quoted by the administration's official website at City Hall on Friday.
Basuki expects that other companies will follow suit.
