S

erdang Bedagai Police reported that a body found in a gutter on a plantation was identified as a Malaysian citizen and taken by his family back to Malaysia.

The body of Mohd Ladzim bin Abdullah, 51, was taken on Sunday by his son to Malaysia after Interpol contacted the family about the finding.

Serdang Bedagai Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Eko Suprihanto said Interpol managed to contact the family after several days of searching. After the notification, Ladzim’s son came to Serdang Bedagai, bringing their family genealogy information.

The son was identified as MD Zaini bin Moh Ladzim and his mother was Fatimah bin Abd Rahman. They reside in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia.

“The police let the family take the body to be buried in Selangor, Malaysia,” Eko said Sunday.

The police found Ladzim’s body in a gutter in a plantation in Liberia village, Teluk Mengkudu, Serdang Bedagai regency.

The police have yet to determine the cause of the death. “We’re still investigating,” Eko said. (evi)
