T

he National Police say that police investigators have found new evidence of a cash transfer that corroborates their treason allegations against several recently arrested figures.

"We found copies of a transfer receipt," National Police deputy spokesman Sr. Comr. Martinus Sitompul said as quoted by kompas.com on Wednesday.

He did not give details about the receipt, saying that investigators were still looking into aspects of the transaction, including the source of funds and recipients.

In addition to the transfer receipt, police also have documents, video footage and news coverage that they claim supports the treason cases.

The police arrested 10 figures for alleged treason last week but have released most of them, including Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, Kivlan Zein and Ratna Sarumpaet. Sri Bintang Pamungkas remains in detention. (dmr)
