View all search resultshe Jakarta administration has set Thursday as the last day for the issuance of recommendation letters for unregistered voters who want to vote in the April 19 Jakarta gubernatorial election runoff, an official said.
“We will ensure that there won’t be any fake recommendation letters,” said Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency head Edison Sianturi on Wednesday as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.
Edison added that that the agency would ensure that voters who had recommendation letters from the first round of the election would be registered on the final voter list.
On the other hand, voters who recently receive a letter ahead of the runoff can come directly to the voting station according to their registered domicile.
The agency has issued around 179,775 letters of recommendation as of April 4. (kuk)
