“I’ve decided that I want to be a speaker. I don’t want to be a member of a political party, a minister or a presidential staff member. I don’t want to be any of it,” Ahok said at City Hall as quoted by Kompas.com on Thursday.
Ahok talked about his program, the Ahok Show, which was broadcast on social media during his Jakarta electoral campaign.
He said he hoped such a program could be broadcast by a television station in the future.
“I want to make an Ahok Show with one television station, with a revenue-sharing scheme. If it receives advertisement revenue, I will receive only 20 to 30 percent of it,” he said. By making such a program, Ahok said he could educate people. (cal/ebf)
