he youngest child of non-active Jakarta governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama, Daud Albeener, who usually appears cheerful when on camera, has reportedly fallen ill and is asking for his father, who is detained at the National Police’s Mobile Brigade detention center.

Acting Jakarta governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat shared the information on Wednesday, saying that Ahok was surprised to learn that his 8-year-old son was ill. Ahok was said to have immediately called Daud, who asked his father when he would come home.

“Ahok’s blood pressure rose after learning his son was sick,” Djarot told journalists, adding that Ahok’s blood pressure had returned to normal.

Ahok was detained immediately at Cipinang Detention Center in East Jakarta after judges at the North Jakarta District sentenced him to two years in prison for blasphemy on Tuesday afternoon.

He was then transferred in the early hours of Wednesday to the National Police’s Brigade detention center in Kelapa Dua, Depok, for security reasons.
