he police have arrested Vionina Magdalena, a 26-year old woman who appeared almost naked in a recent viral video. In the video, Vionina wore nothing but a thong as she made a purchase at a drug store in Taman Sari, West Jakarta.
Another photo, which showed her walking along a street almost naked, also went viral over the weekend.
Taman Sari Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Erick Frendriz said the police arrested Vionina at her residence at Rasuna Said Apartment in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Monday evening.
“We will summon her family to complete our investigation,” Erick said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Monday.
He said further that the police could not yet give any information on whether or not Vionina had violated certain laws as they were still questioning her.
The West Jakarta Social Affairs Agency’s rehabilitation department head Sutawijaya suspected Vionina suffered from a mental illness. However, it was also possible she was threatened by someone.
“She was crying when the incident occurred. A parking attendant said she went to the drugstore to buy medicine and went by a cab,” Suta said. (cal/ebf)
