akarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat hosted an open house at City Hall on Sunday, which was aimed at celebrating Idul Fitri together with some Jakarta residents and civil servants.

Special Idul Fitri dishes were served to the guests who mostly joined the event after attending Idul Fitri mass prayers at the Fatahillah Mosque in the City Hall complex this morning.

"Open house is open for the public. We conduct this event every year," Djarot said.

In the event, Djarot sent a famous Idul Fitri greeting of “Minal aidin wal faidzin” (May you be counted among the returnees and victors) to Jakarta's residents and civil servants.

Also attended the gathering were former Jakarta governor Sutiyoso and his family. Djarot said their presence made the event special.

After the gathering, Djarot visited another former governor, Soerjadi Soedirdja, in Cilandak, South Jakarta.

“The silaturami [friendly meeting] shall be maintained as it can help ensure sustainable development in Jakarta," Djarot said. (ipa)
