The Sarolangun Health Agency has found seven malnourished toddlers in three subdistricts in Sarolangun regency, Jambi, in the first half of this year.

The toddlers were found in Sarolangun, Singkut and Pelawan subdistricts.

The malnourishment, however, was not solely caused by a lack of nutrition, but was also complicated by other illnesses, agency head Adnan HS said.

"We are treating these toddlers and providing them with more nutrition," Adnan said on Wednesday.

In Sukasari village in Sarolangun subdistrict, two toddlers named Aulia Sari Rahmadani and Zaki Ramdani were found suffering from respiratory disorders.

Meanwhile, Rafi Ahmad from Lubuk Kepayang Air Hitam village, suffered from hydrocephalus, or an excess liquid buildup in the cranium.
