akarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat aims to inaugurate 106 child-friendly integrated public spaces (RPTRA) in October before his tenure ends.

“Based on our estimation, the construction [of the RPTRA] is expected to be completed in October so we can inaugurate them simultaneously in one location,” Djarot said at City Hall on Tuesday, as quoted by kompas.com.

According to Djarot, 106 RPTRA are under construction, 100 of which were funded by the city budget, while the other six were funded by private companies through their CSR programs.

Djarot said last week that the inauguration of the RPTRA would be conducted at the National Monument (Monas). The parks, he added, were an oasis for residents in densely populated areas. (wnd)
