"This is such a great event where our country's name is at stake," Anies told hundreds of his subordinates on Tuesday during their first meeting at City Hall.

Deputy Governor Sandiaga will himself would ensure the timely completion of several supporting facilities for the quadrennial multi-sport event.

Among these projects is the expansion of sidewalks along the capital's main thoroughfares of Jl. Sudirman and Jl. Thamrin.

Sandiaga said he would travel the thoroughfares once a week to monitor the project's progress.
