akarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno plan to meet with the city’s former governors, including Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama.

The recently inaugurated officials met with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, who governed Jakarta from 2012 to 2014, at the Presidential Palace in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, to discuss various issues in the capital; from the 2018 Asian Games to slum area development.

Anies said after the meeting that he and his deputy would also meet with other former governors, including Ahok and Sutiyoso, who was in charge from 2002 until 2007.

"We will meet all [former Jakarta governors]," said Anies at the palace. When asked whether he would meet with Ahok, Anies said he would discuss the possibility with his team.

“We will talk about it later,” he said, adding that he would meet with Sutiyoso next week.
