The Jakarta administration launched at City Hall on Wednesday a corruption prevention program dubbed Jakarta Satu (One Jakarta).
The program essentially takes the form of an integrated database of the capital’s regional working units (SKPD), according to Jakarta Corruption Prevention Committee head Bambang Widjojanto
So far, the database comprises an array of information, such as groundwater maps from the Jakarta Spatial Land Agency, tax and levy statistics from the city’s Tax and Levy Board (BPRD), details on city assets from the Jakarta Financial Management Agency (BPAD) and population data from the Population and Civil Registry Agency (Disdukcapil), kompas.com reported.
“Hopefully, the data could be used to control the processes at SKPD,” Bambang said after Wednesday’s soft launch, adding that the data would be presented in visual form, so that they could be easily understood.
Bambang said the program was created to prevent corruption in the city by keeping an eye on regional income data. (dpk)
