runei Darussalam’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah has reported Instagram handle @anti_hassanal to the police for allegedly defaming him.

The report was filed on Sunday evening by Pengiran Zaidi bin Pengiran Haji Metali of the Brunei Darussalam Police.

“When the victim was in Mahakam hotel in South Jakarta, [he] saw an account that had posted pictures of him along with captions that could trigger hatred,” Jakarta Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono said in a statement on Monday.

Argo added that the Jakarta Police’s special crimes investigation directorate was carrying out an investigation to identify the suspect.

The account had been deactivated as of Monday afternoon. (fac)
