View all search resultsWest Jakarta Police have detained a father and his son for allegedly selling drugs in Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
West Jakarta Police narcotics division head Sr. Adj. Comr. Suhermanto said on Saturday that residents had tipped them off about suspicious activity in a house on Jl. Kapuk Muara.
“Several of our personnel followed up the reports and found one of the suspects, identified as JN or BK, with 10 packets of methamphetamine weighing 6.78 grams in his pockets,” said Suhermanto.
Suhermanto said JN had admitted to receiving the drugs from his son, identified as 21-year-old SN, who was found in possession of two packets of methamphetamine weighing 0.87 grams.
“After investigating further, we found that SN had received the illicit drugs from his brother-in-law, identified as IBN, who is currently detained in Bogor, West Java.”
The suspects are charged under Article 114 of the Narcotics Law, which stipulates a punishment of up to 20 years in prison. (jlm)
