girder pole on the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) toll road near Kebon Nanas toll gates in East Jakarta collapsed early on Tuesday, hitting seven workers, the Jakarta Police reported.
The incident took place at around 3 a.m., the police said via Twitter.
All seven workers are undergoing treatment at UKI Hospital in Cawang, East Jakarta and are in critical condition.
The toll road developer has yet to make a statement on the incident. The construction of the toll road had been halted for roughly 20 years before resuming construction in November 2014.
Earlier in February, a girder launcher collapsed at the construction site of a quadruple railway track project in Matraman, East Jakarta, killing four workers and injuring five others. (ebf)
