“The plan was initiated by the association. In brief, artists support the drug-free movement and are ready to punish those who use drugs,” said police chief Sr. Comr. Mardiaz Kusin Dwihananto as quoted by kompas.com.
The MoU signing is scheduled to be held on Thursday at the police headquarters.
According to Mardiaz, artist management and film producers will enforce a drug-free work environment policy. For example, film actors may be required to obtain a drug-free certificate before working on a film.
Three actors – Fachri Albar, Roro Fitria and Dhawiya – were arrested last week for reportedly using and distributing drugs. (wnd)
