olvo has launched the EC200D, a 20-ton-class excavator, which was designed based on input from various stakeholders in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries, Volvo said in a press statement.
“The EC200D is our newest product in the 20-ton class of heavy equipment, which was borne after years of research in Southeast Asian countries. It is our commitment to take part in developing Indonesia,” said Volvo Construction Equipment president director Edouard Savelli in a statement issued recently.
The launching ceremony was held in Yogyakarta on March 9.
Volvo Construction Equipment marketing director Gerrit Lambert added that the EC200D guaranteed faster cycle time to assure high profitability of the users.
“We realize that our customers need faster cycle times so that they could compete in the construction industry,” Lambert said.
He said Volvo cooperated with PT IndoTruck Utama for post-sale service for areas in Sumatra, Java, Nusa Tenggara and Papua, as well as with PT Intraco Penta Prima Servis for post-sale service in the areas of Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Maluku. (bbn)
