The Mrs India Indonesia 2018 pageant was staged recently by Glam Galaxy at Hotel Manhattan and three amazing women were declared the winners after a successful round of auditions and grooming sessions.
The grand finale involved 18 finalists chosen by eminent judges, who included Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Center director Makrand Shukla and Miss Indonesia 2005 Imelda Fransisca, through auditions and the talent round. All 18 finalists performed spectacularly to win the coveted crown of Mrs India Indonesia 2018.
This year, Vibha Jain was crowned as Mrs India Indonesia. The first runner up was Amita Sharma and the second runner up was Kanchi Trivedi Sharma.
“Congratulations to all three ladies on this fabulous achievement! We are all very proud of them,” Glam Galaxy said.
When the winner Vibha was asked about future plans in a recent live talk, she said “India and Indonesia are conjoined by their names. Being a winner, I would like to leverage the opportunity to strengthen the bond between the two countries and to promote Indian culture in Indonesia and to work on different social issues.”
In the same fashion, the first runner up Amita said, “I would love to work for women’s education and will continue my association with mentally challenged kids. It’s time to glorify and celebrate womanhood. I believe that women are the pillars of a great society and we should rise above color, race and nationality and by giving love and respect to women, we can make this world a better place to live in.”
The theme for this year “Elegance is the beauty that never fades” provided a perfect platform for the married women to portray their talent, passion, beauty and personality to the world. Beauty pageants for married women not only give them the opportunity to portray their personalities domestically but also globally.
It is worthwhile mentioning that Glam Galaxy has taken an exceptional initiative in hosting a beauty pageant for both countries. “When I came to Indonesia in 1995, I never knew that one day I would be crowned runner up Mrs India Indonesia. This was all made possible by the Glam Galaxy team, who thought of providing a platform for all the married women to come forward and rock the stage,” said Amita. She has been an educator for the last 20 years and encourages all women to have faith in themselves.
