The Health Ministry's disease prevention and monitoring director Wiendra Waworuntu confirmed that the patient was suspected to have the coronavirus.

"The patient is in good condition but is still suspected [to have the virus]. The infection can only be confirmed once the patient's lab result is positive. Since it's still suspected, we're intensively monitoring the case," he said on han. 23 as reported by tribunnews.com.

Later, Sulianto Saroso Infection Hospital medical and nursing director Diany Kusmowardhani said as quoted by kompas.com on Jan. 26 that the patient had been tested and declared negative of coronavirus.

Indonesia has suspended all flights to and from Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the virus, to prevent an outbreak in the country. The coronavirus, which bears similarities to the deadly severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), has killed 18 people and infected hundreds of others, including in Indonesia's neighboring countries Thailand and Singapore, AFP reported.
