The Health Ministry announced 6,267 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 534,266.

According to data released by the ministry on Sunday, 169 more people have died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 16,815.

The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 445,793.

The ministry reported that 31,021 people were tested on Sunday, bringing the total number of people tested to 3,797,881.

The capital city recorded 1,431 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 135,762. Meanwhile, Central Java reported 2,036 new cases, East Java 412, West Sumatra 273, West Java 228 and Central Kalimantan 204.

The virus has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces. (kmt/kuk)
