Two men impersonating as policemen stopped and handcuffed an Indonesian woman before raping her on Monday morning.

The woman, aged 30, told police that she was forced into a car by the men, who said they were policemen, outside a shopping complex in Miri in Sarawak.

She said in her report that the two men wanted to take her to the police station and cuffed her. Instead they drove to an isolated house and raped her.

Police chief Asst Comm Khoo Leng Huat confirmed that police are hunting for the two police impersonators, both locals.

The woman has been hospitalized in Miri. The case has been classified as rape.
