Air China to start operating from Terminal 3 on May 20

Chinese flag carrier Air China plans to move its operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 on May 20.

hinese flag carrier Air China plans to move its operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 on May 20, serving its passengers from Terminal 3 check-in counters C08 to C13.

"We advised [Air China] passengers to come early to the airport to ensure a smooth journey," Erwin Revianto, the airport's senior manager of communications and legal affairs, said on Friday as quoted by tempo.co.

Airlines serving international routes have been gradually relocated to Terminal 3 since May 2017, after the terminal started operating progressively from August 2016.

Five airlines serving international routes have already moved their operations to Terminal 3 this month: Thai Airways on May 1, Oman Air (May 8), Qantas (May 11), Jetstar Asia Airways (May 11) and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (May 15).

Following Air China's move, SriLankan Airlines and China Eastern are scheduled to move their operations to Terminal 3.

Garuda Indonesia was the first carrier to start operating from Terminal 3 on May 1, 2017, followed by Saudi Arabian Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air, Xiamen Air, China Airlines, China Southern, AirAsia, Fly Scoot Tiger, Citilink (for its Jakarta-Penang route) and Malaysia Airlines. (kes)
