India has introduced free e-visas for Indonesians wanting to travel to the country.
According an announcement by the Indian Embassy, applications for an e-visa can be lodged through the website. There are three types of e-visas, namely tourist, business and medical.
Visitors must have passports that are valid for at least six months from the arrival date in India and tickets to return home or continue on to another destination. A recent photograph with a white background is required.
The website also lists 25 designated airports and five designated seaports where the e-visa is valid, including Mumbai and Goa.
Those not from Indonesia can check the fee for an e-visa on another page. (wir/mut)
