ith the COVID-19 pandemic affecting 210 countries and territories across the globe, those seeking to apply for a Schengen visa reportedly will be required to submit a recent coronavirus test result.
An official at the European Union told SchengenVisaInfo.com that the coronavirus test should be taken at least two weeks prior to the submission date, and applicants should also be ready to take a new test before entering their destination.

Such measures are essential as four Schengen members, namely Spain, Italy, France and Germany are currently the second- to fifth worst-hit countries in the world by the pandemic after the United States.
