oinciding with Beyonce’s latest pregnancy announcement, music label Rockabye Baby has announced a baby-friendly album of Beyonce’s hits to be released later this month.

The Lullaby Renditions of Beyoncé album is made up of 13 of Beyonce’s hits, all rearranged into lullabies. The tracks include classics like "Halo" and "Single Ladies" and Destiny’s Child favorite "Say My Name."

Lisa Roth, the executive producer of the Beyoncé edition, recently spoke to The Los Angeles Times and explained that the album took three months to make because of the music’s quality, but despite that, “[Beyonce] has great melodies, which [made] it a lot easier to deconstruct and put back together using our palette of instruments.”

Rockabye Baby has reconstructed the songs of a wide range of popular artists into baby-friendly tunes, from Taylor Swift and Metallica to The Police. Roth described the label’s beginnings as “a rock series initially. Alternative rock, heavy metal, classic rock … all different rock genres, but we all believe that every genre has its rock stars. And I wanted very much to branch out and include some of my favorites along with everyone else’s, and we started doing that a bit ago. But I would say that Beyoncé is about the most relevant rock star there is right now, so she was a no-brainer.”

“Rockabye Baby transforms rock favorites into beautiful instrumental lullabies. Guitars and drums are traded for xylophones and bells, and the volume is turned down from an eleven to a two. Tonight, the cradle will rock,” states the Rockabye Baby website.

The album will be released on Feb. 24. (sul/kes)
