I'm puzzled by the fact that in two consecutive days, Feb. 14 and 15, 2008, The Jakarta Post blatantly attacked Senayan (House) lawmaker corps.
In my humble opinion, one writing is enough. More over, the choice of words and angle of both writings are close to those used by average tabloids.
I fully understand if the writers were upset with the improper conduct of some Senayan lawmakers. Nevertheless, The Jakarta Post is more grandeur than that.
Both writings, titled "Childish lawmaker" and "Legislators live up to kindergarten kids tag" were rather emotional in nature and did not cover the other angle about the recovery of Rp 640 trillion in the BLBI case. Common sense dictates that the President himself must prioritize his time to a case of this magnitude.
Needless to say that Rp 640 trillion can solve a lot of problems this nation is currently faced with. I believe the President can solve the BLBI case if he puts his mind to it.
I hope this constructive feedback is useful.
