AKARTA: The Bandung District Court in West Java sentenced Firmansyah Hudaya to life in prison on Wednesday for two murders committed last August, Antara news agency reported.
The court found the 23-year-old man guilty of premeditating two murders, and dismissed his pleas to the contrary.
Prosecutors had sought a life sentence in the case.
Firmansyah murdered his former employers, married couple Ronald Alimudin and Maria Magdalena Srie, and mutilated their bodies with a butcher's knife. Police reported that Maria's decapitated head was also boiled.
Firmansyah had told the court he murdered the two because he was angry, but denied he was trying to rob the couple.
