AKARTA: A total of 13 Indonesian students will take part in a national speech contest this Saturday using their Japanese language skills, the Japan Foundation in Jakarta said Friday.
The winner and runner-up will have the chance to take a free trip to Japan for a week in October this year.
The Japanese language speech contest is being hosted by the foundation in collaboration with the Japan Alumni Association (Persada) and RRI, Indonesia's state radio station.
The 13 participants will represent the regions of Jakarta and its satellite cities, West Java, East Java, Yogyakarta and Bali. They are university students who each won a Japanese speech contest at a regional level.
