JAKARTA: An IFFI bank office, located inside ABDA plaza on Jl. Sudirman, South Jakarta, caught fire Monday, forcing employees to flee the building.
The fire occurred at around noon inside IFI bank's IT room and raged for about 15 minutes until a building technician doused the fire, according to Mohammed Fikri, an ABDA plaza maintenance worker.
"After the fire was extinguished, I concluded the fire had begun in the paper shredder, which may have short-circuited and ignited the paper.
The fire must have increased when the burnt papers hit the printer and the sofa, which were the only things that were burnt during the fire," he told tempointeraktif.com. - JP
