AKARTA: Djoko Soegiarto Tjandra, a fugitive in the Bank Bali corruption case, is suspected to have flown to Singapore from Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, an official at the Attorney General's Office said Wednesday.

"According to our information, Djoko Tjandra is already in Singapore," Marwan Effendy, deputy attorney general for special crimes, said as quoted by state news agency Antara.

He added the AGO was coordinating with the Foreign Ministry to track Djoko down.

The AGO has sent a third warrant, the last one, for Djoko to turn himself in to the authorities by Friday afternoon at the latest.

Djoko's lawyer, O.C. Kaligis, told Antara he could not vouch for his client obeying the demand to surrender to the AGO by Friday.

Djoko left the country on a chartered flight from Halim Perdanakusumah Airport in Jakarta on June 10, heading to Port Moresby.
