Moderate quake jolts North Sulawesi

JAKARTA: A magnitude-5 earthquake shook Talaud Islands in North Sulawesi early Friday. No damage was reported.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency reported the quake's epicenter was located 21 kilometers northeast of Melonguane, the regency capital, at a depth of 37 kilometers.
The quake was the latest of a series of mild earthquakes to hit the area in the past few months.
Earlier in December, two magnitude 5.5 earthquakes hit the area. - JP
