IENTIANE: State Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Andi Alfian Mallarangeng has promised a Rp 200 million for each Indonesian gold medalist.
He announced the prize after watching Indonesian cyclists win two gold medals in the mountain bike downhill in Dane Soung Saythany, Laos, on Thursday.
The minister was given the honor of presenting the gold medal to Popo Ariyo Sejati, who won the men's event. The other gold came from Risa Suseanty in the women's event.
